Medical disclaimer

Read this to understand exactly what Nilera is — and what it isn’t.

Nilera is not a medical device

Nilera — both the site and the future app — is a personal tracking and education tool. It is not a medical device in the regulatory sense, not remote-monitoring software, and not a healthcare service.

No diagnosis, no treatment recommendation

Nilera makes no diagnosis, does not interpret your values for medical purposes, and makes no recommendation about medication, dose, or timing. Decisions about your health — screening, treatment, blood sugar targets, therapeutic nutrition — belong exclusively to the healthcare professionals who care for you.

Educational, self-reported data

The data you enter in Nilera is self-reported: it reflects what you choose to record, with the imprecision that can involve. It helps you understand your day-to-day and talk with your care team, but it is not a medical record, not a certified measurement, and not a sufficient basis for a care decision.

Consult healthcare professionals

For any medical question — a symptom, an unusual value, a side effect, a treatment change — contact your doctor or pharmacist. Never delay care because of information read on this site or in the app.

In an emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.

Our educational content

Content published by Nilera draws on recognized institutional sources (CDC, American Diabetes Association, WHO), cited on the relevant pages. It is general in nature and does not replace advice tailored to your personal situation. Our approach is detailed on the our approach.
